New York City : Empire State Building
there's basically two views on the Empire State Building: either you look at it
from a distance (e.g. from a Brooklyn roof top) - or from very close. The Empire
State Building is the old lady among New Yorks skyscrapers -
and it is still quite (quite!) popular - so be prepared to wait for a while before
you get on the very top of Manhattan. Also be prepared that there might be more
than just one couple, wanting to enjoy the sunset.. so it might actually be a
bit crowded ...

..and maybe also try to be prepared for difficult weather situations: that it
can be very (very!) windy up there..!

this board in the lobby tells about the current weather~, wind~, temperature~
and (probably most important of all) waiting-time ~conditions that you'll have
to face when you're going up and on the top of the Empire State Buildings
But please - don't hesitate - the view on New York City you'll enjoy from the
top is probably worth almost any waiting time. And if you'd want to avoid waiting
for too long, you can always go there in the evening or early morning hours..

this is probably almost 'the' view on the Empire State Building - with a U.S.American
Flag in the foreground - just as you might find it at every other street corner
..:)

- Manhattans south end (with the statue of liberty in the very background)

shortly after sunset: the Manhatten Skyline with the illuminated Empitre State
Building and a Brooklyn antenna in the foreground - the view from 'our' roof top
in Brooklyn Greenpoint to
PS: At the moment there might even be some space availabe.. if you want to check
