New York City : Brooklyn Bridge +Dumbo
one of the most impressive sights we could visit during our trip to New York City
was probably the Brooklyn Bridge. If you have the great opportunity to visit friends
living in New York (or even in Brooklyn `.´) then you should probably also
do "the walk" over the Brooklyn Bridge - enjoy the view on Manhattan
and Brooklyn - and then have an ice cream and/or a pizza in 'Dumbo' ...

By the way: 'Dumbo' stands for "Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass".
In New York, probably especially in Manhattan some neighbourhoods have these quite
special short-cut names. 'SoHo' stands for "South of Houston".. which
refers to Houston Street in Downtown, the neighbourhood North of Houston is then
called 'NoHo'. Around the corner you'll find yourself in 'NoLita' - which again
stands for "North of Litlle Italy".. and so on.
and here's again some selected pictures:

on the 'other' side of the bridge your're in Brooklyn - or actually rather in
'Dumbo' - 'Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass'
on the horizont you can see the silhouette of the Statue of Liberty
