Giardini Pubblici - Public Gardens - Biennale Pavilions
in these gardens the Biennale is held every two years. On this pictures, you can
see the 'Nordic Pavilion' (slightly over exposed) - or let's say the Biennale Pavilion that hosts the works of selected artists from the Nordic Countries Finland, Sweden and Norway. Next to it you can see the Biennale Pavilion of Denmark and on the opposite side the
pavilion of Russia and Venezuela.
Trees and bushes (actually whatever 'green' spots) are rather rare on Venice Island - so the Giardini Pubblici / the Public Gardens
are actually the only really green Green - and that makes them especially important for the people that actually live in/on Venice. |
