kontula / concrete jungle for exchange students like you and me
concrete jungle - par exellance. here was my first appartment located. the finnisch
student organization HOAS owns some nice concrete blocks - and rents them to students.
almost unbelievable, but this concrete jungle is still part of helsinki - although
it is located almost 20km away. but anyways - it is quite difficult to define
the outer line of helsinki ...
at least kontula has a biig shopping center which contains all the necessary (and
unnecessary) shops and stores and rock'n'roll you need to survive in the daily
concrete jungle...
at least, it's a rather green area.
