Vallila - Helsinki's comfy wooden house neighbourhood
Sweet sweet Vallila: a neighbourhood of 'traditional' wooden houses of all sizes,
all colours, trees in the backyards - and some rocks in the middle of the neighbourhood.
From the top of these rocks you may enjoy a nice view over Vallila...
hidden behind some architecture of the sixties, seventies
and eighties Vallila is one of the last Wooden House Areas of Helsinki. With its
little bar Piku Vallila it feels like a small (very small) town of its own, disconnected
from the lively pulse of Helsinki.
Some dear friends of ours live here - and so we have the great opportunity to
stay in Vallila every now and then, over night or over days :)
