the SUPERFAST ferry: 21h travel on a boat - a 'mini cruise' across the baltic
sea
travelling with one of the so called "Superfast Ferries" from Rostock
to Hanko takes about 21 hours - enough time to have a closer look at the boat
- and its carefully designed details. As far as I know, taking one of the ferry
boats of the SUPERFAST-Fleet is at the moment actually the fastest way, if you
want to travel to Finland "by car"...
.. at least since "the other ferry" - the FINNJET does not go from Rostock
-> short stop in Tallin -> to Helsinky any more
On board we are usually -spending-time- reading, sleeping and taking pictures..
(some of the pics / most of the close ups are again by nii,,,) ..as you might
have guessed browsing this album ..which usually works for some hours - but sooner
or later boredom strikes - and you start thinking of throwing a coin in one of
the machines of the "Casino" - or checking out, what the boutique "Grace
K." has to offer.
This usually helps for some minutes - or even hours. But then, sooner or later
you'll find your way back to one of these rather comfortable couch seats - drinking
another drink and trying to find your way back into the book you were just reading.
It's just a bit of a shame that _again_ I have the feeling that I didn't even
take enough pictures - but of course on the other hand you don't want to end up
beeing 'the photography guy' for your 'neighbours', with whom you'll have to spend
21 hours in the same boat anyways..:)
on your way from Rostock to Hanko you might sooner or later see one of the other
ferries of the SUPERFAST-Fleet
