the same procedure like last year..
For the first time I dared to walk upon the hill a.k.a. Ruka Tunturi, from where
you have a very nice view over the otherwise quite flat land, if the weather
is fine.
On the way back I didn't get lost in the woods completely, but somehow I did
miscalculate the distances. But when I then finally saw the "Snowcat Safari",
preparing for their "walk" in the snow, I at least knew that I was
on the right way back to the cottage - or actually to Ruka Hovi first, where
I got picked up by nii and nii's dad by car.. - ..which saved me another kilometers
of walking through the beautiful but cold winter woods wonderland..:] ..Kiitos..!

Ski-Jump in the evening light

snow, tree, wires, and "Lapin Kulta" in the Background

This sign indicates, that you're actually not allowed to go down the ski-jump
on a regular sledge. Hm. How about plastic bags..? Well. Do you actually really
have to put up a sign for things like that..? ..or are there even other ski-jumps,
where people are actually allowed to do such things..? ..I don't know..! ..I'm
just a bit scared of what other 'winter sports' might be invented in the future
..:]

A "Snowcat-Safari" prepares for their "walk" in the winter
wonderland. Might sound like a romantic idea - but when you're standing right
next to such a group of "Snowcat-Couples", it doesn't sound romantic
at all - you almost can't even hear your own voice any more.
