the summer was only partly nice - but almost as an excuse we had a quite nice autumn instead: an almost 'golden' autumn. A warmly welcommed opportunity to run around the downtown park 'Tiergarten' - to ride the bike, to go jogging, or 'just' to take some nice autumn pictures ...
From the terrasse of the 'Haus der Kulturen der Welt' you may enjoy a not so common view to the Reichstag and the TV-Tower. And if it's a bit windy, you can even see the flags moving..:]

not only the footballs in front of the Brandenburg Gate are indicating that Berlin is preparing for the upcoming Football Worldcup 2006: the crane behind the Brandenburg Gate is working on the subway station of the new U-Bahn 'U 55', which should be 'up and running' for the Worldcup. But at the moment things seem to be a bit difficult: unexpectedly the station is now flooded by ground water..!
