the summer was only partly nice - but almost as an excuse we had a quite nice autumn instead: an almost 'golden' autumn. A warmly welcommed opportunity to run around the downtown park 'Tiergarten' - to ride the bike, to go jogging, or 'just' to take some nice autumn pictures
From the terrasse of the 'Haus der Kulturen der Welt' you may enjoy a not so common view to the Reichstag and the TV-Tower. And if it's a bit windy, you can even see the flags moving..:]
'rusty' trees behind a freshly renovated russion tank that is part of the Russian Monument close to the Brandenburg Gate
not only the footballs in front of the Brandenburg Gate are indicating that Berlin is preparing for the upcoming Football Worldcup 2006: the crane behind the Brandenburg Gate is working on the subway station of the new U-Bahn 'U 55', which should be 'up and running' for the Worldcup. But at the moment things seem to be a bit difficult: unexpectedly the station is now flooded by ground water..!
