Berlin: Olympic Stadium - football match on a construction site ('02)
Here some pictures of the contruction site of the Berlin Olympic Stadium I already
took in autumn 2002. For more than four years the fans (and the players) of the
Berlin football team Herta BSC had to be patient - but now the Olympic Stadium
is finally ready for the football world cup championship 2006 to come to town. So I decided finally
to post these pictures ...
The pictures were taken during a football match - actally one of the worst games
that the Berlin Football Team Herta BSC had experienced until then. But I don't
want to go any further into football at this point.
Instead I could also write some details about the shooting itself: actually we
went to the Olympic Stadium, because nii wanted to take some pictures for a magazine,
I joined, assisting her, but that's actually a different story... Anyways I found
some time to take also some digital pictures. The weather was like it is usually
in Berlin in winter: foggy-greyish, cold, humid - perfect for a few photo-shoots
of dark metal constructions in the fog, bright light, frosty football fans and
booths where you can get Wurst, beer and french fries.
